This is a spot made by the agency DDB (Brazil), for WWF.
The message of this spot is clear: he compares the attacks of 9/11 and the Asian tsunami occurred in 2005 with the slogan "The world is powerful. Respect it, preserve it."
To substantiate this point, an argument is advanced: "In 2005, the tsunami killed 280 000 people. The tsunami killed 100 times more people than the attacks of 9/11.
This spot has provoked some strong reactions from the Director of the Brazilian agency, claiming not to have endorsed this campaign, but also and especially on the part of WWF America and Canada whose representatives spoke in a press release:
"We strongly condemn this aggressive and inappropriate. We never authorized the production or publication (...) In the United States and worldwide, we promise you that advertising does not reflect any opinions and sentiments of the people who work at WWF."
